A unique opportunity to utilize a strong analytical chemistry background to design chemistry-based solutions for a wide variety of industrial and government concerns and participate in the growth of an independently owned testing laboratory.
Candidates for this position are expected to develop a good working knowledge of laboratory methods and procedures for industrial hygiene analyses, chemical characterization of a variety of matrices, environmental monitoring, and forensic investigations and apply the knowledge to the design and implementation of the investigative analysis projects.
A BS or advanced degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a degree(s) in a related broad technical field with sufficient experience in chemistry or chemical engineering.
Candidates must have demonstrated project management skills in effective project scoping and conceptualization, planning, organization, communication, schedule compliance, personnel management, and project management.
Must be able to plan, organize, and support specialized programs, projects and tasks and work with lab staff to develop scope, schedules, cost estimates and proposals for specialized projects performed in support of a variety of customers.
Position requires strong oral and written communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
This position requires a DOE “Q” security clearance, or the capability of passing an extensive background check to successfully get a “Q” clearance.
Candidate will be able to perform some travel associated with job duties.
Position reports to Chief Executive Officer or designee.
Individual selected to fill this position will have a key role in working with Company CEO and Laboratory Manager in future growth of the company.
Salary depends on experience.
Normal schedule is five (5) days per week- eight (8) hours a day. Additional effort may be required.
