Receptionist/Office Assistant

Basic Duties:

  1. Answer telephone and route calls or take messages as needed
  2. Issue visitor badges according to security plan
  3. Issue vendor purchase orders from QuickBooks and enter payables for laboratory requisitions
  4. Place Supply/Equipment orders with vendors
  5. Order office supplies as needed
  6. Document control – issue new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and updates/changes to existing SOPs at direction of Quality Assurance Manager (QAM)
  7. Administrative audit support to QAM gathering documents required
  8. Maintain staff training files
  9. Schedule physicals and drug screens
  10. Assist company president with word processing of documents
  11. Assist Controller with miscellaneous accounting duties
  12. Other duties as assigned in support of laboratory administration.

Qualifications:

  1. Friendly cooperative personality
  2. Experience in business reception duties
  3. Experience with Office Suite, i.e., Word, Power Point, Excel
  4. Bookkeeping experience is a plus
  5. Ability to multi-task is a plus
  6. Physically able to perform the basic duties as outlined above
  7. Must be a U.S. Citizen
